The Dogwalk® G-DDW is a glass fitting dog door in white, manufactured from 100% UV-stabilised high-impact polycarbonate — same material as aircraft windows. Its dual glaze frame accommodates glass from 3mm to 32mm thick, making it suitable for both single and double glazing. The white frame suits white-framed aluminium windows, white sliding door frames and uPVC joinery. Specially developed for medium to semi-large dogs such as Beagles, Border Collies, Spaniels and Blue Heelers, up to a shoulder height of 450–500mm. The flap is designed to swing higher to reduce stress on the hinge and minimise broken flaps. For slim line single glazing, see the G-DDSLW. 3-year manufacturer's warranty*. What is the difference between G-DDW and G-DDSLW?

Both are white and share the same 385mm cut-out. The G-DDW is the dual glaze version with a deeper frame accommodating glass 3–32mm thick, suited to double-glazed units. The G-DDSLW is the slim line version suited to single glazing and sliding doors 4–20mm thick.

What glass thickness does the G-DDW suit?

The G-DDW suits glass from 3mm to 32mm thick, covering standard single glazing and most double-glazed units. For glass thicker than 32mm, please contact us to discuss options.

Can I install the G-DDW into existing double glazing?

Not directly — toughened or sealed double-glazed units cannot be cut after manufacture. A new glass panel with the 385mm hole pre-cut must be ordered and fitted by your glazier. This is standard practice and glaziers do it regularly.

What size dogs does the G-DDW suit?

The G-DDW is the Dogwalk® Medium dog door — specially developed for medium to semi-large dogs such as Beagles, Border Collies, Spaniels and Blue Heelers, up to a shoulder height of 450–500mm. The usable opening is 270mm wide × 300mm high (the flap panel is 313mm; about 13mm sits in the hinge). Before ordering, measure your dog standing: width at the widest point + 25mm must fit inside 270mm, and body depth (top of shoulders to bottom of chest) + 25mm inside 300mm. Fit the door with the bottom of the opening level with your dog’s belly. Labradors and Golden Retrievers sit at or above the top of the range — measure first or contact us. Is the G-DDW available in clear or black?

Yes — the G-DDC is the clear dual glaze version and the G-DDB is the black version — both with identical specifications.

How much does the G-DDW frame project on each side of the glass?

The G-DDW dual glaze frame projects 12.06mm on the inner face and 22.8mm on the outer face of the glass. The deeper outer projection accommodates the full thickness range of double-glazed units up to 32mm.
