G-IDDSLC Glass Fitting Intermediate Dog Door Slim Line Clear

The Dogwalk® G-IDDSLC is a glass fitting intermediate dog door in clear, manufactured from 100% UV-stabilised high-impact polycarbonate — same material as aircraft windows. Its slim line frame is designed for single glazing and most single glazed sliding doors, accommodating glass from 4mm to 13mm thick. The Intermediate size suits small to medium dogs up to about 380mm at the shoulder — such as Jack Russells, Cavaliers, Pugs, French Bulldogs and Corgis — through a usable opening of 216mm wide × 237mm high. What size dogs does the G-IDDSLC suit?

The G-IDDSLC is the Dogwalk® Intermediate dog door — for small to medium dogs up to about 380mm at the shoulder, such as Jack Russells, Cavaliers, Pugs, French Bulldogs, Corgis and Miniature Schnauzers. The usable opening is 216mm wide × 237mm high (the flap panel is 250mm; about 13mm sits in the hinge). Before ordering, measure your dog standing: width at the widest point + 25mm must fit inside 216mm, and body depth (top of shoulders to bottom of chest) + 25mm inside 237mm. What is the difference between G-IDDSLC and G-IDDC?

Both have the same 320mm cut-out and 216mm × 237mm usable opening (flap panel 216mm × 250mm). The G-IDDSLC is the slim line version suited to single glazing 4–13mm thick. The G-IDDC is the dual glaze version with a deeper frame accommodating glass up to 32mm, better suited to double-glazed units.

What is the difference between the Intermediate and Medium dog door?

The Intermediate dog door (G-IDDSLC) has a usable opening of 216mm × 237mm (flap panel 216mm × 250mm) and a 320mm cut-out, suited to small to medium dogs up to about 380mm at the shoulder. The Medium dog door (G-DDSLC) has a larger 270mm × 300mm usable opening (flap panel 270mm × 313mm) and a 385mm cut-out, specially developed for medium to semi-large dogs up to a shoulder height of 450–500mm. If your dog is between sizes, go up to the Medium door.

What glass thickness does the G-IDDSLC suit?

The G-IDDSLC suits glass from 4mm to 13mm thick, covering standard single glazing and most single glazed sliding doors. If your glass is thicker than 13mm, the dual glaze model G-IDDC suits up to 32mm.

Can I install the G-IDDSLC myself?

No — the G-IDDSLC requires professional glazier installation. A 320mm round hole must be drilled through the glass using specialist equipment. Attempting DIY installation risks cracking or shattering the glass. Contact us if you need a referral.

Is the G-IDDSLC available in white?

Yes — the G-IDDSLW is the white slim line version with identical specifications, better suited to white-framed doors and windows.

How much does the G-IDDSLC frame project on each side of the glass?
