Q: What is the difference between W-MCDRF and G-MCDRF?

The W-MCDRF is for wood fitting multi-magnetic cat door models (W-MCDW, W-MCDB). The G-MCDRF is for the glass fitting model (G-MCDW). The two flaps are not interchangeable.

Q: Do I also need to replace the collar magnet?

Not necessarily. If the door still unlocks correctly for your cat but the flap is worn, you only need the W-MCDRF. If the door is no longer unlocking reliably, you may also need to replace the C-M collar magnet pair.
